What Is Certificate Distribution?
Certificate distribution is the process of getting the right certificate to the right person — reliably, at scale, and with a record of delivery.

The most common method. Each recipient gets an email with their certificate attached as a PDF, or with a link to download it. Well-suited for courses, training programs, events, and academic institutions.

Download Link Distribution
Instead of an email attachment, recipients receive a personalized link to download their certificate from a hosted URL. Useful when email deliverability is a concern or when you want recipients to access their certificate on demand.
Advantages: smaller email, certificate stays accessible, easy to re-download.
LMS Integration Distribution
For organizations using an LMS (Learning Management System), the certificate distribution is triggered automatically when a learner completes a course — no manual step required. The LMS calls the certificate platform via API or webhook, which generates and delivers the certificate immediately.
Advantages: fully automated, zero manual work, instant delivery after completion.
